Kimonos ¬¬

Birdsonsummerdaywframe When my sister was a little girl, my grandfather made a trip to Japan and like he used to do, he brought us lots of presents, but there was one that had my sister stunned (it still does.)

He brought her a Kimono! but not just any one... a golden one with roses an dragons, with a big lace and OMG... so so so so soft, she told me she felts like as  been touched by clouds.

Then my grandfather tolds us that for over 1500 years the Kimonos were part of the japanese culture and couture.

He showed us some pictures and I could see the grace, glamour, mistery that those women carry when they were all gawned up.

She stills have hers in the closet, of course it doesn't fit her anymore, but some day, when she or me have a kid we will pass it over to her, that's the impression that simple but extraordinaire outfit left in us, heritage sent.

Sightseen in Tokyo

Are you making a trip to  Tokyo but you don´t know where to start? well, I found some things that look interesting and I wanted to share them with you.

Th_tokyo_dec_2004003 You can start going to The Imperial Gardens, simply exquisite gardens of course like the name says they are next to the Imperial Palace :)

Then you have the Sensoji Temple Asakusa, excellent architecture and of course it has great gardens as well, I think they just love gardens..

Enough with the gardens and flowers, if you are there for the fashion you MUST go to Shibuya there you can see, try on, buy, have some fun!

If you are one of my kind (and by that I mean an electronic geek :D) you can´t miss Akihabara, Tokyo´s electric town :) yay! that´s paradise, and no flowers involved.

Feel free to send me presents :) . Hajimemashite ;)

Arigato my friends

Panda Who have never dream of travel to Japan? Meet the motherland of technology, when the old lives in peace with the new, where the values and sense of honor are still alive.

A place where the tradition is more important than anything, where the respect for the elders is impecable.

I wish everybody can get to know the beauty of this country, everything seems perfect, the people, the buildings, the enterprises, the clothes (I love the Kimonos!).

Of course like every civilization they are full of flaws but just if you live there *giggles*

You must know the house of the geishas, they are still a few real ones (most of them now are just wanna be´s or just pretending to be one for a little while.), in the real ones you may find really educated, well spoken, intelligent, sensitive, artistic, exotic, gorgeous women who will give you their company (in xchange of sometimes 500 dollars an hour.. ) with a smile on their faces, of course they are one of a kind, rare flowers to find, trainned since birth to be a geisha. This is not an eassy place to get in to, but with the right people you will get in, don´t you dare to think they are ladies of the night, you couldn´t be more wrong, they just give their love to the men they choose.

You also got to visit the temples, ther are stunning, full of peace, it makes you wonder if it´s correct that you are standing in such a holly place.

If you are thinking of travel soon, please check out their manners, you can not afford to be disrespectfull, you never know what can happend if they feel offended and if they burp please don´t laugh, just feel free to do the same (NO, you can not recite de ABZ..)

You gotta bring me some Sakura's piccies *^.^* YaY I want some more for my wall.  Arigato Otomodachi ;)Hearts
